It’s official — Taylor Swift has been nominated for the 2026 Songwriters Hall of Fame, marking her first-ever nod and coming in her very first year of eligibility.

The announcement was made on Thursday, October 23, revealing a star-studded lineup of nominees, including Sarah McLachlan, LL Cool J, Kenny Loggins, and David Byrne of Talking Heads.

Swift’s nomination comes 20 years after the release of her first commercial single, “Tim McGraw,” which debuted on June 19, 2006, from her self-titled debut album Taylor Swift released later that year on October 24, 2006.

Eligible voters have until December 4 (midnight Eastern) to cast their ballots, choosing up to three names each in both the songwriter and performing-songwriter categories.

Founded in 1969, the Songwriters Hall of Fame has honored some of music’s biggest legends over the decades — from Elton John and Bernie Taupin to Bruce Springsteen, Carole King, Paul Simon, Billy Joel, and many more.

Taylor’s nomination includes a highlight reel of her most iconic hits, such as “Love Story,” “The Last Great American Dynasty,” “Blank Space,” “Anti-Hero,” and “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version).”

The 14-time Grammy-winning artist continues to cement her legacy as one of the most influential songwriters of her generation — and this latest recognition proves she’s not slowing down anytime soon.Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.
